Actividades para el verano si se quiere

Hello everybody!

It's the summer holidays, time to play and have lots of fun! If you get bored, here are some activities. Son las vacaciones, hora de jugar y divertirse mucho. Si os aburrís, aquí hay unas actividades:



Here is an activity which I did with the children in the three-year-olds' class but that I didn't have time to do with you, and I thought you might like it....a crab made of jelly. Aquí hay una actividad que hice con los niños de tres pero que no tuve tiempo para hacer con vosotros y pensé que a lo mejor os gustaría....un cangrejo hecho de gelatina.



First, I am going to prepare the jelly and when it is cold, I am going to put it in the fridge until it has set. Primero voy a preparar la gelatina, y luego la voy a meter en la nevera hasta que se haya solidificado. (You can also buy the jelly ready-made, but this way you can see how a liquid changes to a solid. También se puede comprar la gelatina ya hecha, pero de esta manera se puede ver como un liquido cambia a un sólido.)


I use orange juice and water, not just water. Uso zumo de naranja y agua, no solo agua.




When the jelly has solidified, I take it out of the mould. to do this, you will need a bowl of hot water. In the video, I put the mould in the hot water for three seconds, but you can put it in for less because three seconds is actually a bit too long. En el vídeo, pongo el molde en el agua caliente durante tres segundos, pero se puede poner menos tiempo porque en realidad tres segundos es demasiado largo, depende también del tamaño del molde y lo caliente que está el agua etc)



Last of all, I transform the jelly into a crab:



I also did some work on vocabulary to do with the beach with the three-year-olds which we didn't have time for with the four-year-olds. Este es el vocabulario que he mandado en un correo hoy.) También trabajé vocabulario de la playa con los niños de tres, que no tuve tiempo hacer con los de cuatro. At the end of the recording I ask the children to touch the vocabulary in the following order: spade ( pala )  sandcastle ( castillo de arena ) suncream ( cream protectora) bucket ( cubo) towel ( toalla) ice cream ( helado)


(Igual les cuesta un poco esta ultima actividad porque no lo hemos trabajado en las clases online.)

Today we are going to make pasta seaweed and do a counting activity. You will need the numbers 1-8, spaghetti, pasta tubes (macaroni) plasticine and a plate. Hoy vamos a hacer algas de pasta y una actividad de conteo. Vais a necesitar espaguetis, macarrones, plastilina y un platito. Se puede cambiar el número máximo, haciéndolo más facil o difícil.
